Semi-one piece sole and Radial Blade Sole for maximum stability and grip promoting rapid footwork.

The new POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION Z is here. The ECLIPSION series is focused on stability to handle even the most advanced or complex footwork, providing the athlete with confidence in every step and every jump.

As badminton play has become increasingly fast-paced in recent years, shoes are required to have the stability needed to react instantly and propel quickly.

A key ingredient to stability is reliable grip. The newly developed RADIAL BLADE SOLE is designed to provide ultimate grip with a rubber surface that has a pattern reminiscent of a ninja star. This pattern was calculated to ensure grip for sudden vertical, horizontal and diagonal movements. In addition, the Semi One-Piece Sole is newly adopted to increase the area of contact by integrating the outer rubber of the tread and heel. This increases stability when landing and reduces the risk of sprains.

To complement the grip, a secure upper is required. The polyurethane-based Durable Skin Light is an upper that combines rubber-like flexibility with the stiffness of hard plastic, letting you play light on your feet while maintaining a secure and snug fit.

The POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION Z will be accompanied by the POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION X, an affordable stability model designed with the same performance concept.

INNOVATION
RADIAL BLADE SOLE
The grip pattern of the sole has been redesigned creating the RADIAL BLADE SOLE. By finely arranging a windmill shape that combines areas with large and small indentations, the weight of the shoe is dispersed, and the grip is improved by approximately 3%*. Resulting in a grip that supports quick dashes and sudden stops.

Semi One-Piece Sole
Previously separated, the outer rubber of the sole tread and heel are now integrated. This increases the area of contact for more grip and stability.

POWER CUSHION+
The ECLIPSION Z features a specially shaped wedge of POWER CUSHION+ in the heel designed specifically to absorb shock associated with the footwork of badminton. By improving shock absorption, our POWER CUSHION+ technology transforms impact into energy. A 28%* increase in shock absorption and a 62%** increase in repulsion when compared to the standard EVA materials.

**According to research by the Boken Quality Evaluation Institute, JIS Law is applied

Durable Skin Light
Combining rubber-like flexibility with the stiffness of hard plastic, the polyurethane-based Durable Skin Light lets you play light on your feet while maintaining a secure and snug fit.

Inner Bootie
A knit bootie is integrated into the shoe replacing the conventional tongue for improved comfort and better all-around fit.

Great shoes

I have several different Yonex shoes and this is one of the best (my favourite might still be the Aerus series though). These are extremely light and has tremendous cushion. What I am most impressed about so far is that even though I have slight fasciitis, it hasn’t gotten worse while playing once I started wearing these shoes.
Also very impressed with sports virtuoso. Very good price (the least expensive I could find on the internet) and very fast shipping. I’ll be coming here again.
