A nostalgic take on our beloved Pro Staff, complete with all the modern techs that have made it a favorite.
Since it debuted in the '80s, Wilson's Pro Staff tennis rackets have been sweeping up titles and winning the hearts of players worldwide. A lightweight and highly maneuverable frame, the Pro Staff 97L Classic connects vintage style with four decades of innovation. Designed with Paradigm Bending technology to optimize the bending profile between the shaft and hoop, it offers precision and pinpoint control. We arranged the double braid at 45-degree angles, allowing the frame to breathe more upon impact. This increases dwell time while maintaining the stability responsible for that signature Pro Staff feel.
Paradigm Bending
A carbon fiber construction strategically crafted to optimize the bending profile of the racket hoop and shaft. This construction shifts more flexibility into the shaft for an ideal blend of classic Pro Staff feel and precision without compromising modern power.
String Mapping
Strings sit closer together, yielding a denser string bed for excellent precision and feel.
Braid 45
Frame construction arranges the double braided fibers at 45 degree angles, allowing the braid to breathe more upon impact. The result is an enhanced pocketing feel combined with incredible stability.
Classically Inspired Design
